Referral Bonus Process

Only approved departments in the table below qualify for referral bonuses, and referral bonuses are paid out to the referring employee only. Referring employees must be active at the time of referral and payout. Applicant cannot have worked at CoxHealth in the past six months. Applicant cannot be an active applicant at the time of the referral. Referrals are considered active for 30 days and if the applicant has not applied within that time, a new referral must be submitted. Referrals are for part-time and full-time positions only (.5 FTE or above; In-Home caregivers are exempt from this FTE requirement). Temporary, seasonal, and contract employee positions are not referral bonus eligible. Referral bonuses will be taxed at the Federal, State, and FICA supplemental rates. Referring employees must have begun the referral text process, prior to the applicant accepting a position, for the referring employee to be eligible to receive a bonus. Directors and above and/or hiring managers in the candidate's department and Human Resources personnel are not eligible for a bonus.

Referral bonus payout information will be emailed to the employee after the referral's date of hire. For bonuses paid out in two installments, the referred employee must still be employed at a 0.5 FTE status or higher at the time of the second payout. Employees will not receive the second bonus payout if the referred employee is no longer employed by CoxHealth.
