Children's Health
All parents want their kids to be as healthy as possible.
Get your child started off right by establishing them with a primary care provider, keeping current on vaccinations, offering nutritious foods, knowing safety basics and promoting regular exercise and plenty of sleep. And when your child's health requires the support of medical specialists, no one in the region offers more than CoxHealth.
At CoxHealth, you'll find the region's most experienced physicians in pediatric care. CoxHealth's team of experts is ready to care for your kids across all spectrums of care, including perinatology, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric urgent care. And as one of the top three maternity hospitals in Missouri, CoxHealth is a leader in mother-baby care, delivering more newborns than any other hospital in our region.
Partnership with St. Louis Children's Hospital
Many of our pediatric specialties are offered by CoxHealth-employed physicians, while a few others are available through our partnership with St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH), a hospital recognized in the top 10 percent nationally by U.S. News & World Report. SLCH is part of BJC HealthCare and our collaboration is made possible through the BJC Collaborative. The BJC Collaborative was created by a handful of health systems to pool resources and enable members to expand programs and services, improving care and access for patients in our local communities. This relationship allows us to offer additional services close to home, helping families avoid traveling to other cities to get the care your children need.
Specialists from St. Louis Children's Hospital visit Springfield on a regular basis to treat patients, as well as offering care via telemedicine for certain conditions. All pediatric specialists see patients out of our Pediatric Specialty Center.
