Expert Care to Keep Your Child Healthy
At CoxHealth, we’re here to support your child’s well-being from day one. That starts with establishing a trusted primary care provider, staying up to date on vaccinations, encouraging nutritious eating, practicing safety measures, and promoting regular exercise and restful sleep. And when specialized medical care is needed, no one in the region offers more expertise than CoxHealth.
Our team includes the region’s most experienced pediatric specialists, providing expert care in areas such as perinatology, neonatal intensive care (NICU), and pediatric urgent care. As one of Missouri’s top three maternity hospitals, CoxHealth is a leader in mother-baby care—delivering more newborns than any other hospital in the region.
Partnership with St. Louis Children's Hospital
Many of our pediatric specialties are provided by CoxHealth-employed physicians, while some are available through our partnership with St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH), which is ranked in the top 10 percent nationally by U.S. News & World Report. SLCH is part of BJC HealthCare, and our collaboration is facilitated through the BJC Collaborative. This initiative was created by several health systems to pool resources, expand programs and services, and improve care and access for patients in our local communities. This partnership allows us to offer additional services close to home, helping families avoid traveling to other cities for the care their children need.
Specialists from St. Louis Children's Hospital regularly visit Springfield to treat patients and offer care via telemedicine for certain conditions. All pediatric specialists see patients at our Pediatric Specialty Center.
