Accreditations & Awards

We’re proud to be among the best hospitals in the region.

But what matters most is what that means to our patients. Your health is the top priority for our physicians, employees and volunteers – 10,000 strong – who choose to serve at the Springfield area's only locally owned, not-for-profit health system.

Certifications and Accreditation

Magnet Status

Cox Medical Centers proudly announces that our Springfield hospitals have earned Magnet recognition.

This distinction is the highest national and international honor a health care organization can earn for professional nursing practice that supports quality patient outcomes specifically influenced by registered nurses.

To earn this status, nursing leaders, staff, and interprofessional members of the care team met and documented 94 separate standards focused on demonstrating both excellence in nurse satisfaction with the RN environment, as well as nursing-influenced patient satisfaction and patient outcomes.

Earning Magnet status is a testament to CoxHealth’s commitment to excellence in work environment, culture and clinical outcome.
