The effects of brain injury, stroke, and other neurological disorders vary greatly from person to person. At Ozark Neuro Rehab Center, we work closely with our patients, their families, and the treatment team to develop a plan of care designed to meet each patient’s specific needs and goals.

We’re an important link for people who no longer need to be in the hospital, but still need additional rehabilitation before they return to work, school or their community. Our day treatment services are available to patients who are at least 14 years old.

Throughout treatment, we encourage our patients’ families to stay involved. By participating in planning, goal setting and evaluations, and by taking part in supportive activities, you are helping your loved one recover.

Our services are provided by a team of physical therapists, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, social work services and neuropsychologists/psychologists – all with specialized training, experience, expertise and interest in the treatment of traumatic brain injuries and neurological disorders.

We focus on our patients’ physical, emotional, communicative, vocational, social, occupational and recreational needs, and on delivering care in a supportive, open environment. Our goal is to nurture each patient’s personal growth and dignity so they can sustain and enrich the quality of their life.

After Treatment

As soon as you enter our program, we begin planning for your return to home, work or school. We carefully consider your strengths, needs, abilities and preferences as we set goals and objectives for your treatment.

To help you transfer the skills you learn here to less structured surroundings, we use actual and simulated situations in your therapy. Situations including meal preparation, budgeting, social interactions, work site interventions and even community outings are all used to help you regain the skills of daily living.

Follow-up Care

Even after treatment you may be faced with new challenges. Helping you manage these challenges and develop a satisfying quality of life is our key concern. We focus on your strengths rather than your deficits, and provide follow-up services to help continue your improvement. This could include continuing a single therapy, or connecting you with a variety of community resources.

Accreditation

Ozark Neuro Rehab Center (ONRC) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehab Facilities (CARF) for Brain Injury Program – Adults, Brain Injury Program - Children and Adolescents, and Stroke Specialty Program. CARF monitors health care providers and gives credentials to those facilities that meet the highest standards of excellence and quality care.
