Ozarks Dialysis Services

Comprehensive renal replacement therapy options are available through CoxHealth Ozarks Dialysis Services. Ozarks Dialysis Services has provided dialysis to patients in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma, and southeastern Kansas since the late 1960s. We strive to exceed the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) goals for dialysis and transplantation. Ozarks Dialysis Services is a not-for-profit, hospital-based outpatient chronic maintenance dialysis service offering quality customer care. At Ozarks Dialysis Services, you will have a health care team consisting of a nephrologist, nurse, dialysis technician, dietitian, and social worker who work with you to monitor and develop your individualized care plan.

Our kidneys rid the body of excess fluids, salt, and waste; regulate blood pressure; maintain safe levels of chemicals in the blood, and help make new red blood cells. If your kidneys do not function properly, you need ongoing treatments to perform some of these functions. Dialysis is a lifetime commitment, and we are here to assist you along that journey.

Hemodialysis Treatment

This treatment removes fluid and excess waste from the blood by passing it through an artificial kidney outside the body, known as a dialyzer. We offer outpatient hemodialysis using single-use dialyzers at multiple locations within Springfield and Monett. Our Springfield location in the Medical South building has a Transitional Unit designed to enhance patient education and assist patients and family members in adjusting to life on dialysis.

Home Daily Dialysis

Ozarks Dialysis has an extensive home dialysis program that historically makes up about 30% of our total dialysis population. We offer training and professional support services 24/7 for continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), continuous cycler peritoneal dialysis (CCPD), and home hemodialysis. Peritoneal dialysis uses the peritoneal membrane within the abdomen as a filter for removing excess fluid and waste from the blood. For more information, please call 417-875-3307.
