Diabetes Management

Overview

CoxHealth has a nationally recognized American Diabetes Association program led by certified diabetes educatiors.

In addition to community classes, participate in one-on-one or group education to help manage diabetes - type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes or pre-diabetes. A team of certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians and nurses teach CoxHealth's diabetes education program.

Diabetes management classes are offered in Springfield, Branson and Monett and require a physician referral. You can ask your doctor or call the number for your location.

Diabetes Self-Management Training

A seven-hour comprehensive class teaching diabetes management tools.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring

A monitor is worn to gather blood glucose details, which are used to create a tailored blood sugar management plan.

Medical Nutrition Therapy

A one-on-one session with a registered dietitian. Learn to better manage your diabetes through diet.

Diabetes Annual Review

A two-hour program for those who have had previous Diabetes Education, but need a review.

Insulin Initiation

For those who are new to insulin and need assistance with injection training.
