I am from Edmond, Oklahoma. Most of my family lives in Oklahoma and Texas. I have one younger sister — she is an amazing musician and is using her talents to become a music therapist. My grandma is an amazing cook and makes award-winning desserts; everyone wants to make pies like Rosalie. I love spending time with my family, so it’s nice that Springfield is so close to home.
I went to East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, for my undergraduate degree. I went to The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn for medical school. My medicine interests include obstetrics, women’s health and sports medicine. I applied to Cox because of the amount of obstetrics training they could provide me. CoxHealth FMR has more OB volume than many other programs.
I have played volleyball for most of my life, including all four years of college. I continue to stay active in both sand and indoor volleyball. I have coached several club teams and can’t wait to be involved with the volleyball community in Springfield. Outside of volleyball, I also love food (what I’m going to eat is the most important decision of the day), “The Bachelor” (I’ve met Chris Harrison!) and all Will Ferrell movies.
