Welcome!
CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency is an unopposed program combining intellectual, academic excellence with the real-world experience of a community hospital - in the heart of the Ozarks. Since 1987, we've provided our graduates with a unique, exciting and engaging family medicine education.
As Springfield's only ACGME-accredited residency program, together with our sponsoring partner CoxHealth we're leading the way in physician education and development, preparing residents for the broad scope of family medicine. All of our residents gain substantial experience in maternity care and inpatient training. In fact, many of our graduates are hospitalists and some are performing cesarean sections without fellowships. In short, we believe residents who receive a well-rounded training will have the diverse skills they need to thrive in any practice setting.

FQHC Track at Jordan Valley
We offer a separate track at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center that delivers medical services to the Springfield community.
