The Breast Surgeons at CoxHealth

The Breast Care Clinic is located inside the Hulston Cancer Center on the third floor. The CoxHealth Breast Care Clinic is fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. It is also a designated Breast Care Center of Excellence. Accreditation is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance in three modalities: mammography, ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy.

About The Breast Surgeons at CoxHealth

Our High-Risk Breast Clinic offers prevention measures and monitoring for patients with an increased risk for breast cancer. You’ll learn prevention measures from medical professionals with years of experience in caring for breast cancer patients.

At your first appointment, you’ll meet a breast surgeon and physician assistant to discuss your medical history and develop a personalized plan specific to your breast cancer risk. We’ll also discuss ways you may reduce your risk, and assess whether genetic testing is appropriate for your situation. We’ll share a summary of your plan with your gynecologist or family physician, and if your situation requires the expertise of additional health professionals, we will make those referrals.

If you have received your second COVID-19 vaccine shot, please wait four to six weeks to schedule your mammogram.

They work alongside a physician assistant with expertise in and a passion for women’s health, plus nurses, radiologists, oncologists and support staff.
