An open house was held last week for the new and improved Cox Heart Center Branson.

The center has a new look and new specialists.

There are now 18 exam rooms and a fully remodeled lobby to welcome patients with greater privacy and comfort. These renovations complement a dedicated cardiopulmonary rehab area, where patients regain strength and endurance under the supervision of a supportive medical team.

“The expansion means that our center can offer more to the community than ever before,” says Sherry Schutz, clinic administrator. “We’re very pleased with the two new providers who have joined us and they fit right in with the team. Patients love them. It’s just been very exciting!”

Cardiologist Robbie Mangalasseril, MD, and interventional cardiologist David Lemons, DO, have joined Narin Arunakul, MD, and Prasert Vijitbenjaronk, MD.

All the physicians are board certified and specialize in treating conditions such as valvular heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease and heart failure.

During the open house event, physicians and staff meet with the community about the growing clinic.

“It’s important because a lot of people don’t like to travel away from their home community,” said Dr. Lemons. “People with chronic illnesses can’t travel that far so it’s important to have someone they know and trust close so if things change rapidly, they can get in to see someone quickly so we can take care of them, versus having to travel an hour away.”

Dr. Lemons is excited about the changes to the facility including provider offices that are now grouped together making collaborating much easier.

“The facility is amazing. It’s great to have nice, new equipment and beautiful facilities for our patients and co-workers,” says Dr. Lemons.

The center offers an anticoagulation clinic, a pacemaker/ICD clinic, advanced cardiac imaging, cardiac stress testing and cardiac event monitoring.

Cox Heart Center Branson is located at 1150 Hwy. 248, Suite 200, Branson, 417-336-4112.
