CoxHealth’s significant hiring package for critical care-specific registered nurse jobs in Springfield, Mo. and the other communities we serve includes flexible scheduling and relocation assistance for candidates living 50 miles or more away.

Three adult critical care units provide a total of 54 beds to accommodate the needs of our most critically ill patients. Each of our critical care rooms are equipped with the latest Stryker InTouch beds and ceiling lifts to enhance the monitoring capabilities and safety of the patients and care providers. The nursing team utilizes advanced technologies such as Coolguard cooling/warming systems, intercranial monitoring devices and PrismaFlex CRRT. We utilize Cerner electronic order entry and documentation, as well as electronic medication scanning and administration to provide the highest level of patient safety.

Our patient care team consists of specialized physicians, surgeons, intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, clinical pharmacists and metabolic support staff. Our critical care team is supported by advance practice nurses and critical care educators. This education team works in conjunction with unit leaders to offer classroom education, bedside assistance and support, and development opportunities to help you achieve your professional goals.

NTICU

This newly constructed 27-bed Neuro Trauma ICU was designed with valuable input from nursing staff and leaders resulting in a beautiful facility that provides technology for patient care, as well as many features created to enhance teamwork and efficiency.

Our experienced critical care team provides care to patients who have suffered multi-system traumas and need specialized neurological surgeries and interventions.

Our NTICU staff work in collaboration with our highly skilled Trauma Services team, which coordinates care of trauma patients across the continuum – from impact to recovery. These teams also collaborate with members of our nationally recognized Stroke Center. CoxHealth is one of only 91 health systems in the nation to receive the American Heart Association Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award. This multidisciplinary approach to care allows us to provide the high quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Cardiovascular ICU

Our nine-bed newly renovated CVICU provides highly specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries. CoxHealth CVICU nurses collaborate with surgeons, intensivists and other health care providers to ensure a carefully monitored post-operative transition to the next level of care.

CCU/MICU

CoxHealth’s 18-bed CCU/MICU provides excellent care to the most critically ill cardiac and medical patients. These skilled nurses and physicians manage the care of the most complex medical patients. Our CCU/MICU nurses in collaboration with Respiratory Care, Metabolic Support, clinical pharmacists and critical care intensivists provide our patients with truly compassionate care. A Missouri RN license is required. At least three years of critical care experience in tertiary care setting or similar critical care unit needed. ACLS needed. Neuro experience preferred.
