EMS Career Progression
Learn more about how your EMS career will progress at CoxHealth
We use what we call the Star of Life Career Ladder to outline the various stages of a career with CoxHealth EMS. This is a points-based system in which each credential is awarded as eligibility requirements are met. Review periods for eligibility occur twice per year, on March 31 and September 30. Bonus payments are paid in the first pay period in December and in the first pay period in May.
