Volunteer Services

How can we serve? Who can we help?

Our volunteers are vital to our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve and essential to the healing process of our patients. Volunteers have the opportunity to work directly with our community and are often the first people our guests meet at the information desk or our gift shop. Our volunteers also help escort patients and visitors throughout the hospital.

Volunteering does not just benefit our patients and visitors. When you give back to the community as a CoxHealth volunteer, you’ll benefit as well. Volunteering has been proven to provide health and life benefits, such as reducing stress, improving self-confidence, boosting career prospects, providing opportunities to make new friends, learning new skills, and increasing happiness.

Process & Requirements

Enrolling as a CoxHealth volunteer is easy. Simply submit an online application, and we’ll contact you within 48 hours to schedule an interview. Please bring two forms of photo identification to the interview. Interviews include a background, drug and immunization screening. Volunteers are required to attend orientation. The orientation date will be provided during your interview. On-the-job training is provided. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
