DAISY Award Honoree - Lisa Wolf
A small act of kindness leads to a DAISY Award for Cox Monett ER nurse
Today, we're proud to recognize one of our incredible nurses with a DAISY Award for thoughtfully going above and beyond.
The DAISY Award program recognizes nurses who provide compassionate care that exemplifies the kind of nurse patients, families, and CoxHealth professionals recognize as an outstanding role model.
Please join us in celebrating Lisa Wolf, RN, for showing that compassion and care can come in all forms. Sometimes, the smallest gestures leave the most significant impact.
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: "I would like to sincerely thank one of your exceptional nurses, Lisa Wolf. I first encountered Lisa during the challenging times of the pandemic when I filled in as a weekend door screener. Despite the understandable stress and pressure, the staff was under, Lisa greeted me with a warm smile and kindly asked about my day. Her simple acknowledgment meant a great deal to me.
More recently, I experienced Lisa’s kindness once again. This past Thursday evening, I was in the ER with my mother and went to the waiting room to get a soda. Exhausted, I mistakenly grabbed a root beer instead of my preferred Dr. Pepper. Lisa, who was standing behind me, overheard my comment about choosing the wrong drink. Without hesitation, she graciously used her card to get me the Dr. Pepper I wanted. This small act of kindness was deeply appreciated. While I could have purchased another drink myself, Lisa’s thoughtful gesture, at a moment when I was overwhelmed and tired, brightened my evening and gave me a much-needed boost.
Lisa’s compassion and willingness to go the extra mile are genuinely remarkable. Every hospital would benefit from having a nurse like her, and I am so grateful for Lisa’s presence at your facility. Thank you for your exceptional care and kindness."
Congratulations, Lisa!
