Recruitment Fraud Alert
A Notice for Job Seekers Regarding Fraudulent Job Offers
There have been reports of scammers posing as representatives from CoxHealth and offering fraudulent job opportunities to unsuspecting individuals. Your safety and security are our utmost priority, and we want to ensure that you have the tools to identify authentic opportunities from fraudulent ones.
How to identify recruitment fraud
Here are some tips to help you distinguish between a legitimate CoxHealth candidate experience and that of a scam:
- Official communication channels: CoxHealth communicates through official channels such as our website, email addresses ending in "@coxhealth.com," and phone calls from CoxHealth recruiters and hiring managers. Be cautious of communications from personal email addresses or unofficial social media profiles.
- No fees required: CoxHealth does not require candidates to pay any fees during the recruitment process. If you're asked to pay for job applications, background checks, or training materials, it's likely a scam.
- Research the job offer: Before responding to any job offer, take the time to research CoxHealth and the specific position being offered. Visit our official website www.coxhealth.com/careers and verify the job posting's details match what you've been offered. Applying directly to the position you’re interested in, through the CoxHealth Careers site, is always the safest approach.
- Interview process: Legitimate job offers from CoxHealth will involve a structured interview process, often conducted via phone, SparkHire video, Microsoft Teams, or in person. Be cautious if you're contacted via Skype, or What’s App, and offered a job without any formal interview process.
- Trust your instincts: If something feels off or too good to be true, trust your instincts. Scammers often use high-pressure tactics to rush you into making decisions. Take your time and thoroughly evaluate any job offer you receive.
At CoxHealth, we are committed to providing all job applicants a safe and secure environment. If you encounter any suspicious activity or believe you've been targeted by a scammer impersonating CoxHealth, please report it immediately to our Human Resources department, HR-Recruitment@coxhealth.com.
