Cerner PowerChart Preferences for Nurses

Getting Started

Welcome! Follow the steps outlined below to personalize and enhance your experience in Cerner PowerChart.

In addition to the site that you’re viewing this webpage, you will need:

  • To be logged in to a CoxHealth computer and have PowerChart open.
  • In steps 2 through 6 below, you will need to have a patient chart open. You may use the following training patient:
    • Tr-Rales, Roberta DOB: 12/03/1970
  • A copy of the iView Band Preference list for your area. Note: Nurses working in Labor and Delivery and Women and Newborn will not need this list and will skip step 4.
  1. Play the video and follow the outlined to set up your patient Assignment list and unit Location list
  2. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to personalize and set up your Nursing Workflow page
  3. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to set up your MAR and MAR Summary
  4. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to personalize your iView Navigator Band
  5. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to set up your Task List
  6. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to adjust your settings on the Orders Plan of Care page
  7. Play the video and follow the steps outlined to adjust your Toolbars.
