Kaitlyn McConnell named System Director of Public Relations

Kaitlyn McConnell has been named System Director of Public Relations at CoxHealth.

McConnell has been the health system’s Media Relations Manager since 2015, where she serves as corporate spokesperson, is point-of-contact for news media, and manages the health system’s social media channels. She will continue these efforts and expand on them in her new role, in which she leads external corporate messaging for CoxHealth.

The newly created department is part of a decision to grow the health system’s communication efforts, an area that has been seen of even greater importance during the COVID-19 pandemic. The change results in two separate departments for communication at CoxHealth: Corporate Communications, which will now primarily focus on internal/employee channels and information, and Public Relations, which oversees external news and information. Media contacts at Cox Branson, Cox Monett and Cox Barton County remain the same.
