Dr. Whitney Davis joins CoxHealth Cassville Clinic

CoxHealth Cassville Clinic is pleased to welcome a new family practice physician to their growing health care team.

Dr. Whitney Davis grew up in southwest Missouri around the Table Rock Lake area. She is a graduate of Reeds Spring High School.

“This is my home, so it only felt natural to choose to care for patients here,” says Dr. Davis. “I like the slower pace of life in a rural setting; I love driving to work and seeing many more cows than cars."

When visiting the clinic for the first time, Dr. Davis says she was greeted with open arms.

“I immediately noticed the teamwork and respect among the clinical staff, which I found to be very appealing; it was a place I wanted to be a part of,” says Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis matched with the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency Program in Springfield, Mo., after earning her medical degree in Kansas City. After working for a time at a CoxHealth clinic in Springfield, she is excited to return to family practice.

"I like to think of the family medicine doctor as the helper of the medical sector,” says Dr. Davis. "I enjoy being the helper; I'm here to assist my patients in whatever manner is best for their safety and health."

Dr. Davis enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her horses.

"Farm life reinforces hard work, humility, priorities, loyalty, and love, among so many other things," says Dr. Davis. "I'm happy when I'm outside, playing in the dirt, and taking care of my animals."

Dr. Davis will work alongside Dr. Michael Payne and nurse practitioners, Mackenzie Bradley and Julitta Shirley, in seeing patients at CoxHealth Cassville located at 75 Smithson Drive, Cassville, Mo.

“Family medicine is fun because no one patient or day is ever the same,” says Dr. Davis. “It’s exciting because you never know what you're going to get.”
