CoxHealth achieves ISO 9001 certification
CoxHealth has earned the distinction of becoming the first hospital system in Missouri to achieve ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001 is the most widely used quality management standard and is used in a variety of businesses. In the health care setting, ISO 9001 serves as a business management structure that helps CoxHealth align its goals, strategies and tactics to make sure they are working together to meet our mission.
Favorable bond pricing for CoxHealth projects
This week, CoxHealth sold $125 million in bonds at an average cost to maturity of 3.616%. The bonds sold very quickly in less than three hours. These will be used to refinance some existing bond monies, fund the new Cox Monett Hospital, and for Springfield hospital and clinic facility development. I want to celebrate Jake McWay’s leadership in this bond issue. His strategy yielded us considerably better rates than expected , and probably saved us around $9 million over the life of these bonds.

Now, a software program will take over some of the more tedious tasks of data entry that go with new job applications. This was the winning project at the 2018 CoxHealth Innovation Accelerator.
