CoxHealth names Lori Matthews as a vice president of operations

Lori Matthews has been named as CoxHealth’s vice president of operations, leading the Oncology, Medicine Specialties and Women’s Service Lines. 

First joining CoxHealth in 2011, Matthews has held several key positions, beginning as a physician recruiter for various specialties across the organization. She was later promoted to clinic director within Cox Medical Group, overseeing specialty clinics in Springfield, Branson and Monett. 

Most recently, Matthews served as the administrative director of Oncology and Medicine Service Lines, where she successfully led strategic initiatives to enhance patient care, operational efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration. 

Matthews earned both her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Missouri State University.

Matthews will assume her new role effective Sept. 1, 2024.
