Cox Monett Hospital proudly welcomes Dr. Logan Ouderkirk, a general surgeon, to its medical team.

Dr. Ouderkirk will be performing a comprehensive range of general surgical procedures for patients at Cox Monett.

Originally from Salina, Kansas, Dr. Ouderkirk attended medical school at the University of Kansas in Kansas City.

"I wanted to become a physician because I have a strong desire to help people," he explains. "I have always been fascinated by science, and it seemed the best way to fulfill that passion."

When Dr. Ouderkirk visited Cox Monett, he says he felt welcomed and confident that he would work well with the staff.

"I believe Monett is a great fit for the type of practice I want to establish, and there is a significant need for a surgeon in this growing community," he says.

One interesting fact about Dr. Ouderkirk is that he once participated in a soccer tournament in the UK.

In his free time, Dr. Ouderkirk enjoys quality moments with his wife and two daughters, as well as indulging in his hobbies, which include reading, playing video games, painting miniatures, and exploring new places.

In addition to his responsibilities at Cox Monett, Dr. Ouderkirk will perform robotic surgeries at Cox Medical Center in Branson.

Dr. Ouderkirk is now seeing patients at CoxHealth Surgery Monett, located inside the CoxHealth Monett Clinic at 1000 E. U.S. Hwy. 60.
