Cox Monett welcomes first baby of 2022

It’s a girl! Cox Monett’s first baby of 2022 arrived on Jan. 4 to claim the official title of New Year’s baby.

Parents Mong Kue and Aye Htoo of Monett welcomed baby Star into the world at 12:52 a.m. At birth, the baby clocked in at a healthy 6 pounds and 15 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.

Star will be welcomed home by two big brothers, Moon, age 5, and Sun, who is four.

“My husband came up with the idea for our children’s names,” says little Star’s mom. “We believe children are a gift from heaven up above.”

Cox Monett presented a gift basket to the family in honor of their new baby. It included a plush toy, diapers, wipes, snacks, books, and a congratulatory card from the hospital.
