Cox Branson has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2021. The medical center is one of only 212 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

The award recognizes Cox Branson’s commitment and success in implementing a high standard of care for heart attack patients. It signifies that staff has reached an aggressive goal of delivering treatment according to standards outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association’s clinical guidelines and recommendations.

To receive the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award, Cox Branson has demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020).

“Achieving the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award two years in a row is evidence of our hospital’s continued dedication to delivering the highest quality cardiovascular care in patients with acute myocardial infarction,” says Rachel Stone, STEMI program coordinator at Cox Branson. “Meeting the award requirements set forth by The American College of Cardiology exhibits the teamwork and collaboration within our hospital as well as with our EMS partners and emergency departments from nearby hospitals.
