Cox Barton County Hospital receives 2024 Press Ganey Awards
Cox Barton County Hospital is pleased to announce that it has received two Human Experience Awards: Pinnacle of Excellence Award® and the Guardian of Excellence Award® from Press Ganey, a leader in health care experience solutions and services.
These awards are part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, based on patient experience performance.
Cox Barton, a 25-bed critical access hospital, achieved both awards for its outstanding performance in the ambulatory surgery services category.
“We are thrilled to be recognized once again by Press Ganey,” says Andrea McKay, president of Cox Barton County Hospital. “Our incredible team truly embodies the spirit of rural health care through their personalized and compassionate care. Whether it's sending heartfelt thank you cards, making thoughtful follow-up calls, or even assisting patients to their vehicles, our entire hospital staff consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of patient care.”
The Pinnacle of Excellence Award® recognizes top-performing health care organizations across the nation for consistently demonstrating high levels of sustained performance and excellence in patient experience measures over a three-year period (from April 2021 to March 2024). This prestigious award is granted to only four organizations in each category based on the number of cases performed.
The Guardian of Excellence Award® honors organizations that achieve the 95th percentile for key patient experience survey measures across 15 different award subcategories. Cox Barton has received this award for its performance in the Teamwork survey measure. This marks the second consecutive year that Cox Barton has earned the Guardian of Excellence Award®; last year, the hospital was recognized for its inpatient services.
"Each day, Cox Barton County Hospital exemplifies dedication to their patients, workforce, and larger community, setting a remarkable standard for compassionate health care" said Patrick T. Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey. "It is with great honor that we celebrate their outstanding achievements.”
