Many people throughout the world – and right in southwest Missouri – deal with chronic pain, a condition that can disrupt one’s quality of life.

To help community members with this problem, CoxHealth is hosting a six-week class that teaches ways to manage ongoing pain. Attendees will learn how gain confidence and motivation to deal with associated challenges, which may be caused by age, illness or injury.

Cost for the six sessions is $25, and includes the course book. Anyone dealing with chronic pain, headache, whiplash, neuropathic pain, neuralgias or muscular pain may attend.

Classes begin on Tuesday, March 12, and will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday through April 16. Sessions will take place in the CoxHealth Surgery Center (960 E. Walnut Lawn St., Suite 203, Springfield).

Registration is required by noon on Monday, March 11, and may be completed by calling 417-269-4847.
