The hospital includes 35 private rooms designed for orthopedic patients, six innovative surgical suites, a comprehensive rehabilitation and exercise program, and much more. These aren't personal phones. They cannot use them to call or text friends and family. These phones belong to CoxHealth. The phones connect to your medical record. Nurses use the phones to talk to other members of your health care team. They help the nurse give you medicine safely. Your nurse is alerted on their phone when your call light is on so you'll get attention fast. Patient Education Videos Tune in to channel 2 on the TV in your room for information about CoxHealth. Your nurse may assign videos for you to watch to help you learn more about your care. The videos are free. To watch videos, dial 69-7191 from your bedside phone or ask your nurse for help. Laundry Facilities Your nursing staff can assist you with laundry, as time permits. Pastoral Care Chaplains are available for spiritual counseling and support. Ask your nurse or contact the Pastoral Care department. A chapel is available for your use. Pet Therapy A dog and their handler will visit your hospital room. They'll help provide comfort and enjoyment as you cope with health problems. Call Volunteer Services or tell your nurse if you want pet therapy. It may take 24 hours to fulfill your request.
